GATE - Job Details

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of the candidate in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. The GATE score of a candidate reflects a relative performance level in a particular subject in the exam across several years. The score is used for admissions to post-graduate programs (e.g., M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies. The score may also be used by Public and Private Sector Undertakings for employment screening purposes.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer the conduct of GATE. The operations related to GATE in each of the 8 zones are managed by a zonal GATE Office at the IITs or IISc. The Organizing Institute (OI) is responsible for the end-to-end process and coordination amongst the administering Institutes. The Organizing Institute for GATE 2015 is IIT Kanpur.

తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర పబ్లిక్ సర్వీస్ కమిషన్ (టీఎస్‌పీఎస్సీ) ఏర్పాటైన నేపథ్యంలో వివిధ ప్రభుత్వ శాఖల్లోని ఖాళీల భర్తీకి ఉద్యోగ ప్రకటనలు జారీ చేసేందుకు కసరత్తు ఊపందుకొంది. ఉమ్మడి రాష్ట్రంలోని ఏపీపీఎస్సీ నుంచి సిబ్బంది, ఆస్తుల విభజన పూర్తి కాగానే కీలక శాఖల్లోని ముఖ్యమైన పోస్టులను భర్తీ చేయటానికి టీఎస్‌పీఎస్సీ అధికారులు పూర్వరంగం సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. వీలైనంత త్వరలో ఉద్యోగ నియామక ప్రకటనలు విడుదల చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం కృతనిశ్చయంతో ఉన్న దృష్ట్యా అధికారులు అందుకు సంబంధించిన పనులు పూర్తి చేస్తున్నారు.

గ్రూప్-1, గ్రూప్-2, గ్రూప్-4, గెజిటెడ్, నాన్ గెజిటెడ్, జూనియర్ లెక్చరర్లు, డిగ్రీ లెక్చరర్లు, పాలిటెక్నిక్ లెక్చరర్లు, అసిస్టెంట్ ఇంజినీర్లు, అసిస్టెంట్ ఎగ్జిక్యూటీవ్ ఇంజినీర్లు తదితర పోస్టులను పబ్లిక్ సర్వీస్ కమిషన్ ద్వారా భర్తీ చేయనున్నారు. ఏపీపీఎస్సీలో గతంలో భారీగా అక్రమాలు జరిగాయని ఆరోపణలు వచ్చిన నేపథ్యంలో టీఎస్‌పీఎస్సీ ద్వారా పూర్తి పారదర్శకంగా ఉద్యోగ ఖాళీలు భర్తీ చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. ఇయర్ క్యాలెండర్‌ను రూపొందించి సకాలంలో ఉద్యోగ ప్రకటనలు జారీ చేయాలని భావిస్తున్నది. ఏపీపీఎస్సీ విభజనను సత్వరమే పూర్తిచేసి, దాదాపు 20వేల ఉద్యోగాల భర్తీకి వెంటనే నోటిఫికేషన్లు జారీ చేయాలని అధికారులను సీఎం కే చంద్రశేఖర్‌రావు అదేశించినట్లు సమాచారం.

సిలబస్‌లో మార్పులు..?

టీఎస్‌పీఎస్సీ ద్వారా జరిగే ఉద్యోగ నియామకాల్లో పరీక్షా విధానం, సిలబస్‌లో మార్పులు చేసే అవకాశమున్నట్లు సమాచారం. ఉద్యోగార్థి తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర అవసరాలు, ఔన్యత్యానికి సంబంధించిన పరిజ్ఞానం కలిగి ఉండేలా సిలబస్‌లో మార్పులు చేయవచ్చునని తెలుస్తున్నది. తెలంగాణ చరిత్ర, తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ చరిత్ర, తెలంగాణ భౌగోళిక స్థితి, సహజ వనరులు, సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయాలకు సిలబస్‌లో ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వాలని నిర్ణయించినట్లు తెలిసింది. ఏపీపీఎస్సీలా కాకుండా టీఎస్‌పీఎస్సీలో ఉన్నత విద్యావంతులు, ప్రొఫెసర్లకే కీలక బాధ్యతలు ఇవ్వాలని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తున్న దృష్ట్యా సిలబస్‌ను కూడా సంస్కరించే అవకాశాలున్నాయని ప్రభుత్వ వర్గాల సమాచారం. అయితే, సిలబస్ మార్చితే చాలా కాలంగా పాత సిలబస్‌ను అధ్యయం చేస్తున్న తమకు తీవ్ర అన్యాయం జరుగుతుందని ఉద్యోగార్థులు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. కొత్త పరీక్షా విధానం, సిలబస్ ఎలా ఉంటుందో తెలియక అయోమయం ఏర్పడుందని పేర్కొంటున్నారు.

ఇదిలా ఉండగా గ్రూప్-1, గ్రూప్-2 వంటి ఉద్యోగాల సిలబస్‌లో ఇప్పటివరకు ఉన్న ఉమ్మడి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ చరిత్ర స్థానంలో పూర్తిగా తెలంగాణ చరిత్ర, సంస్కృతిని చేరిస్తే బాగుంటుందని తెలంగాణ మేధావులు, ప్రొఫెసర్లు అభిప్రాయపడుతున్నారు. జనరల్ స్టడీస్ పేపర్లో కూడా తెలంగాణకు సంబంధించిన సిలబస్‌ను చేర్చాలని సూచిస్తున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో పరీక్షా విధానంపై నిపుణులతో కమిటీలు ఏర్పాటు చేసే అవకాశం ఉన్నట్లు తెలిసింది. పరీక్షా విధానం ఖరారైన తర్వాత సిలబస్‌పై సబ్జెక్టుల వారీగా నిపుణుల కమిటీలు వేసి, తగిన సలహాలు, సూచనలు తీసుకోవాలని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తున్నట్లు సమాచారం. అయితే, కొన్ని ఉద్యోగాల భర్తీ కోసం రాష్ట్రంలోని రెండుమూడు విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో ఇప్పటికే మల్టీపుల్ ఛాయిస్ విధానంలో ప్రశ్నాపత్రాలు తయారు చేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిసింది. పరీక్షా విధానం, సిలబస్‌పై స్పష్టత రాగానే ఉద్యోగాల భర్తీకి వరుసగా నోటిఫికేషన్లు జారీ చేసేందుకు అధికారులు కసరత్తు చేస్తున్నారు.

సొమ్ము చేసుకుంటున్న కోచింగ్ సంస్థలు..

గ్రూప్-1, గ్రూప్-2, గ్రూప్-4, లెక్చరర్ పోస్టుల భర్తీలో పరీక్షా విధానం, సిలబస్‌పై స్పష్టత రాకముందే రాష్ట్రంలో కోచింగ్ సంస్థలు పాత సిలబస్‌తో క్లాసులు నిర్వహిస్తూ నిరుద్యోగులకు కుచ్చుటోపీ పెడుతున్నాయి. పాత సిలబస్‌తోనే పరీక్షలు జరుగుతాయని నమ్మబలుకుతూ వేలకు వేలు వసూలు చేస్తున్నాయి. సొంత రాష్ట్రంలో భారీగా ఉద్యోగ ప్రకటనలు వస్తాయన్న ఆశతో వేలమంది నిరుద్యోగులు కోచింగ్ కోసం ఎగబడుతున్నారు. దీంతో కోచింగ్ సెంటర్లు ఫీజులను రెట్టింపు చేశాయి. హైదరాబాద్‌లోని దాదాపు అన్ని కోచింగ్ సెంటర్లలో ఇదే పరిస్థితి ఉందని నిరుద్యోగులు వాపోతున్నారు. మూడు నెలల శిక్షణ కోసం ఒక్కో నిరుద్యోగి నుంచి రూ.20 వేలకు తక్కువ కాకుండా ఫీజు వసూలు చేస్తున్నట్లు సమాచారం. ఒకవేళ సిలబస్‌లో మార్పులు తేవాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయిస్తే తమ సెంటర్లలోని ఉద్యోగార్థులతోఆందోళనలు చే యించి పాత సిలబస్ ప్రకారమే పరీక్షలు నిర్వహించేలా ఒత్తిడితేవాలని కోచింగ్ సెంటర్లు పథకాలు వేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిసింది.  

ఎంసెట్ కౌన్సెలింగ్ నోటిఫికేషన్ విడుదల

ఎంసెట్ కౌన్సెలింగ్‌కు సాంకేతిక ఉన్నత విద్యాశాఖ నోటిఫికేషన్ విడుదల చేసింది. ఈమేరకు ఇవాళ ఒక ప్రకటనలో పేర్కొంది. ఈనెల 14 నుంచి 23 వరకు సర్టిఫికెట్ల పరిశీలన ఉంటుందని వెల్లడించింది. ఉదయం 9 గంటల నుంచి సర్టిఫికెట్ల పరిశీలన కొనసాగుతుంది. 14న 25 వేల ర్యాంకు వరకు సర్టిఫికెట్లు వెరిఫికేషన్ చేస్తారు. 16న 50 వేల ర్యాంకు వరకు, 17న 75 వేల ర్యాంకు వరకు, 18న లక్ష ర్యాంకు వరకు, 20న లక్షా 25 వేల ర్యాంకు వరకు, 21న లక్షా 50 వేల ర్యాంకు వరకు, 22న లక్షా 75 వేల ర్యాంకు వరకు సర్టిఫికెట్ల పరిశీలన ఉంటుంది. 23 వరకు సర్టిఫికెట్ల పరిశీలన ఉంటుంది. అయితే 15 మరియు 19న సర్టిఫికెట్ల పరిశీలనకు సెలవు అని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. 

కౌన్సెలింగ్‌కు వచ్చేప్పుడు అభ్యర్థులు 6వ తరగతి నుంచి ఇంటర్ వరకు స్టడీ సర్టిఫికెట్లు తీసుకుని రావాలని కోరారు. 1-1-2014 తర్వాత జారీ చేసిన ఇన్‌కం సర్టిఫికెట్, క్యాస్ట్ సర్టిఫికేట్ తీసుకుని రావాలని ఎంసెట్ కో కన్వీనర్ తెలిపారు. ఒరిజినల్ సర్టిఫికెట్లతోపాటు మూడు సెట్ల జిరాక్స్ కాపీలు తీసుకురావాలని అన్నారు. ర్యాంకుకార్డు, హాల్‌టికెట్ తీసుకురావాలని పేర్కొన్నారు.

Telangana issues GO for separate TSPSC

In what is seen as an attempt to win over the students agitating against regularization of contract jobs, the Telangana government has issued a GO constituting a separate Public Service Commission with immediate effect.

Issued by the general administration department on Friday under section 83(2) of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, the GO would enable the new government to make direct selections to the posts under various categories besides helping it to carry out functions under article 320 of Constitution of India, sources said.

They added that this would keep the Union Public Service Commission at bay as article 315 of the constitution had vested this power to the former until a separate public service commission is created by the new Telangana state. The GO has also been notified in the extraordinary issue of the Telangana Gazette.
